If you are currently looking for an elliptical training machine, often called cross-training machine as well, then you certainly have done a lot of research. Such product is generally not cheap, so you need to be careful in where to invest your money. Sole is easily one of the best brands, and, if you have narrowed your choices down to Sole E35 and Sole E95, it is good for you. Both of these two models are top-notch; you can’t really go wrong with either. However, Sole E95 is quite more expensive than Sole E35. So, what is the difference between Sole E35 and Sole E95? Which is the one that makes the fullest value for the money?
The overall designs of Sole E35 and Sole E95 are actually similar. Both models are front drive trainers, meaning that their flywheels are installed on the front side of the machines. However, Sole E95 is slightly larger than Sole E35. The extra bulkiness is not much, but this still means that Sole E95 requires some more space. One of the reasons behind the additional body mass is perhaps the higher weight limit. While Sole E35 is only suitable for users up to 375 lbs, Sole E95 has been made to be more robust and rugged, featuring a maximum user weight limit of up to 400 lbs.
Another thing to consider is the weight of the flywheel. The flywheel is one of the most important parts of an elliptical trainer. It is the drive system that applies pressure to the pedals and controls the resistance. The higher the flywheel weight, the smoother the machine operates. A heavier flywheel is also often associated with a better lifespan of the machine. With the information in mind, we can note that Sole E35 has a 29 lbs flywheel while Sole E95 has a 34 lbs flywheel. Both machines’ drive systems are quite when working, making them so convenient to use.
Both models have blue backlit LCD screens for control. The one on Sole E35 is 7.5”, whereas Sole E95’s display is 9.0”.
Other than the differences mentioned above, Sole E35 and Sole E95 have no other differences. Both models come with similar features. Both have 20-22” power-adjustable stride, power-adjustable incline from 0 to 30 degrees, 15” oversized adjustable foot pedals, static/moving handlebars, pulse grip and chest strap HR monitoring, also built-in fan and water bottle holder. Each model comes with 6 standard programs, 2 custom programs, and 2 heart rate programs.

Sole E95 is indeed generally better, but the price difference is quite considerable. Because of that, unless you really need the higher weight limit, Sole E35 should be the way to go. It is the most cost-efficient choice. Sole E95 is more suitable for commercial use.
